Loyalist College Residence

This year we've added two new buildings for a total of five residences situated on campus in a wooded country setting, just minutes from downtown Belleville. Our suite-style residences will have co-ed accommodations for 480 students.

Each residence is set up apartment-style with six individual bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, and a common living area. Each bedroom contains a twin captain's bed, study desk and chair, desklamp, dresser, night table, bookshelf, and a corkboard.

Common kitchen and dining areas are equipped with a fridge, stove, microwave, dining tables, and chairs, two love seats, and a coffee table.

Residence Fees (2002/2003):
$4,088.00 (two semesters)

Cable is provided in the common living area and there is a telephone jack and a cable jack in each room. You can pre-arrange your phone hook-up through the residence confirmation process so that your phone is hooked up when you arrive.

Cable TV and computer internet services for use in your own room can be arranged through the local cable company or internet service provider (internet service only). Pay phones are available at the entrance of each building. Barrier-free apartments are available in each building. There are also designated smoking and non-smoking rooms.

Our residences are equipped with coin-operated laundry facilities, a partially fenced-in sports pad with basketball hoops, bicycle sheds, picnic tables and outdoor patio, outdoor skating rink, beach volleyball court and outdoor barbecues. We also have enthusiastic residence assistants and floor seniors to promote student interaction and create a positive living environment while you are in residence. Our job is to make your residence experience enjoyable and memorable! During the year you can participate in Orientation, Rez Olympics, movie nights, barbecues, intramural sports, pot luck dinners and lots more. These activities are a great opportunity to create your own memories and lasting friendships.

We've also recently completed a new, centrally located Residence Centre with a computer lab, coffee shop, lounge area with a limestone fireplace, sunken living room with a big screen TV, laundry and storage facilities for student use. The new Residence Centre provides an informal and security-protected common area for students to hang out, grab a coffee, watch a movie or a game on the big screen TV, hear a speaker such as Sex With Sue's Sue Johanson, or catch a student performance in the coffee shop where amateur talents are showcased.

Visiting Belleville in the summer?

If you wish to visit Belleville this summer, you can spend a night in residence. Our regular rate is $30.00 ($35.00 for air-conditioning) per person, per night, plus taxes. You may book during May to August by calling (613) 969-1913 ext. 2103.
