Citation Assistance |
Visit the information desk for assistance with footnote and bibliography creation or consult our "Cite Your Work" page for a copy of our APA and MLA brochures as well as access to RefWorks.
Inter-library Loan |
If you require an item that is not in our collection, the library can attempt to borrow the item from another library for you. Interlibrary loan service is available to full and part-time faculty, staff and students only. Community members, high school students and alumni are encouraged to inquire at their local public library about interlibrary loan service that they may offer.
To request an item from another library, simply visit our information desk with your student/library card and the following information:

College Archives |
The library maintains a collection of college-produced items of historical significance. This includes photos, publications, college calendars, convocation booklets and other memorabilia
from past events. Please ask at the information desk to view items in our archives collection.
Copyright Clearance/Public Performance Rights |
The Library is pleased to offer to all students and staff, assistance to obtain copyright clearance from Access Copyright for all print and web-based (including WebCT) documentation and course packs for re-sale through the Bookstore.
Course Packs
To submit a course pack for copyright clearance, complete and provide as much information as possible on the print shop copyright form including publisher’s name; ISBN; number of pages etc. and forward to: CONNIE McDONALD, Library, Ext. 2317. The library staff will verify and search for missing information before directing to Xerox.
Please allow 8 to 12 weeks for the library staff to complete all clearance checks and process for printing.

Public Performance Rights
Programs purchased by Loyalist College cannot be shown to outside community groups at off-site locations. Canadian Copyright restrictions apply. ALL DVD/Video programs shown on campus must include Public Performance Rights (PPR) as stated by Canadian Copyright Law. Programs from a home collection, DVD/Video Store or other source must be approved by library staff prior to showing in the classroom or any other location on campus. Contact Connie McDonald at extension 2317 for details.

Collection Development |
The Library welcomes suggestions for materials (books, videos, journals, databases, etc.) to supplement course requirements. Please feel free to submit a request at any time to Ross Danaher or Lynn McCracken. An order form is provided here in .pdf format for your convenience.
