Counselling
A comprehensive counselling service
is available to students and prospective students, through the Student
Services Office (Room 1H16). Loyalist counsellors assist individuals
with educational, career, or personal concerns. Confidential counselling
sessions are available on a voluntary basis for individuals or groups.
Counselling is free, and appointments can be arranged by telephone
or by dropping into the Student Services Office. Counsellors can
administer tests for exploring career preferences, aptitudes, personality,
and abilities.
The career library contains detailed information on jobs and employers,
as well as calendars from colleges and universities across Canada.
Seminars are offered on learning skills, time management, adults
returning to learning, career development, and making the transition
from high school to college. See our web page for information on
learning skills, time management, test taking, and other student
success topics.
