Loyalist College and Trent University are offering an
8 week summer on-line course that research has shown will help ease
your transition into post-secondary school and greatly contribute to
your success.
On-Line To Successful Learning can be completed from your home computer
using Internet resources. Just think- you can keep your summer
job and holiday plans - log on with your password and do your work whenever
you want, wherever you are. The on-line course is estimated to
take approx. 48 hours, which can be done at your own
pace between June 25 and August 21.
There will be a face-to-face opening weekend for the class on the Loyalist
College campus in Belleville at the start of the course on June 25 and
26. You will then complete four modules over the next eight weeks.
The class will meet again for the course conclusion at Trent University
in Peterborough on August 20 and 21. All accommodations and meal
expenses are covered for these sessions and travel bursaries may be
available.
Students who participate will have a state-of-the art assistive technology
demonstration and will have access to various software; develop strengths
and challenges; learn more about their fall program choice; learn strategies
and accommodations that help you be successful and learn self-advocacy
skills. All you need is basic computer skills and regular access
to a computer with an Internet connection.
Tuition for this program is $100.00 which includes all materials and
students who successfully complete the program will receive a $50.00
refund and a Continuing Education certificate from Loyalist College.
