Dorothy Fletcher is primarily responsible for the Academic Skills Centre at Loyalist College. The ASC is a place where students can receive extra help with their writing assignments. It operates from a walk-in office where no appointments are necessary. Students are able to meet with a specially trained tutor who will work with them on their writing at any stage of their assignment. This service is completely free and available to all students in every program at Loyalist College. More information about the Academic Skills Centre, including location and hours, is posted around the college. Dorothy also works with SOAR students assisting them with their writing challenges, particularly resumes and cover letters for future employment. As part of the SOAR team, she is available in the office to answer questions or provide information. |
