Workshops

Tuesday, May 17

1:00 - 2:30

Workshop 1 - Setting the Stage

In this highly interactive session, participants will identify roles and responsibilities that are common to all Academic Coordinators in the Eastern Region. Through a process of prioritization and decision-making, the group will create a common position description.

2:45 - 4:30

Workshop 2 - Taking the Leap

In this session, participants will reflect on the myriad of roles and responsibilities identified in Part 1 and as a group determine the ways in which to manage these responsibilities. Participants will identify barriers and facilitators to delegation and reflect on the parts of the Coordinator's role that they find most challenging. This will enable participants to customize their experience for the remainder of the program.

Participants will be given the opportunity to:

  1. Collaborate with peers to identify and prioritize roles and responsibilities of the Academic Coordinator
  2. Identify and share strategies for managing the roles and responsibilities
  3. Identify and select opportunities for professional growth
