Having Problems?

If you are still having problems searching, you might want to try:
  • Being more specific with your search. For example, if searching for printer drivers, instead of typing "printers", type in "printer drivers".
  • Being more general. If you aren't finding anything on your specific topic, like HIV, maybe you should try an alternative, like diseases.
  • Try a different engine, like a meta engine. A meta engine will search different search engines, and may possibly find what you're looking for.
  • Refine your search. If when searching you find your search returning unrelated sites, try putting quotations around certain words, like a person's first and last name, that would be found together. Foe example when searching for prices of flat screen monitors, try searching "flat screen monitor" prices.

If you are still having problems, please don't hesitate to contact the CAL staff or a CAL student assistant!
