into Semester One. January Start allows you to begin college at
a time convenient for you. Below is a list of the January Start
programs and information on how you can apply. For more detailed

Application Process
To apply for a post-secondary January Start program, use the standard
2003/2004 Ontario College Application Service (OCAS) form (available
from the Registrar's Office) or apply online at http://www.ontariocolleges.ca Applicants should
apply as soon as possible. If you applied for a September 2003 college
program and wish to add a January start 2004 program , your can
ammend your application by calling 1-888-892-2228. Please have your
OCAS application number ready.
Unless you have already been a Loyalist College student, you must
submit a secondary school transcript. If you did not complete your
secondary school graduation diploma, you will be asked to complete
a Mature Applicant Questionnaire and possibly testing.
Acceptance Dates
The first acceptances will be mailed in mid-October. Applications
will continue to be processed and acceptances offered up to the
end of the first week of classes in January 2004. If you have not
had a reply after a few weeks, feel free to call the Admissions
Office to find out the status of your application.
Part-time Studies
Most of these January-Start programs can be taken on either a part-time
or full-time basis. Contact the Admissions Office for more information.
New, part-time applicants for day-time study must apply through
the Ontario College Application Service (OCAS) just as full-time

Financial Assistance
For information on the Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP)
and other financial aid programs, view
our information online. OSAP applications for January 2004 programs
are available in the previous May. Remember that the college application
and the financial aid application are different procedures. OSAP
typically takes four weeks to be processed, so apply as early as
possible.
