High School Equivalency
The College Access program offers a high school equivalency program.
Successful students meet the academic requirements for entry into
other College programs, and are guaranteed seats in Loyalist programs.
Subjects include mathematics, communications, computers and science,
and may be arranged in any combination that a student needs. Students
wishing to prepare themselves to write GED exams can do so in the
College Access program. Students may enroll at the beginning of
any month of the year. Financial assistance may be available.
Admission requirements are flexible and may include testing or interviewing
by the Access department. This department offers programs in cooperation
with federal and provincial governments. Programs vary in length
from four to twelve months and are delivered year round.
Students who complete Level IV of the Access program are considered
to meet the minimum admission requirements for college, and may
enter other college programs.
