Coordinator: Steven Hope

School of Business and Applied Arts

September and January entry

Program Length:
Two- and three-year Diploma

Career Opportunities:
Loyalist Business Administration graduates are employed by local, national, and multi-national corporations.

Graduates in Human Resource Management can pursue careers in various areas of personnel administration which include collective bargaining, contract administration, staff planning, recruitment, training, performance appraisal and job analysis. Graduates may be granted advanced standing towards certification in Human Resource Management.

Graduates in General Business can pursue careers in organizations offering on-the-job training programs and are well suited to entry level management positions in the financial sector: banks, trust companies, insurance agencies. Many graduates also choose to start up their own business.

Program Description:
The intense competition in the business world creates a need for well-trained, highly-adaptable, and highly-motivated individuals. Students receive in-depth theoretical training coupled with state-of-the-art “e-business solutions” software, which provides diverse skills and unlimited options for employment in the new global economy.

The two semesters in First Year provide a solid foundation
in general business concepts. In Second Year, students are exposed to in-depth theoretical business practices. This helps in the selection of an area of specialization in Third Year. Third year students concentrate on their area of specialization: Materials Management, Human Resource Management or General Business, including a one-month placement in a selected business or industry of choice.
