Career Opportunities:
Loyalist Business Administration graduates are employed by local,
national, and multi-national corporations.
Graduates in Materials Management can pursue careers in: inventory
management, production scheduling, material requirement planning,
production activity control, purchasing, distribution, traffic,
and related computer systems. Graduates in Human Resource Management
can pursue careers in various areas of personnel administration
which include collective bargaining, contract administration, staff
planning, recruitment, training, performance appraisal and job analysis.
Graduates may be granted advanced standing towards certification
in Human Resource Management.
Graduates in General Business can pursue careers in organizations
offering on-the-job training programs and are well suited to entry
level management positions in the financial sector: banks, trust
companies, insurance agencies. Many graduates also choose to start
up their own business.
Program Description:
The intense competition in the business world creates a need for
well-trained, highly-adaptable, and highly-motivated individuals.
Students receive in-depth theoretical training coupled with state-of-the-art
“e-business solutions” software, which provides diverse
skills and unlimited options for employment in the new global economy.
The two semesters in First Year provide a solid foundation
in general business concepts. In Second Year, students are exposed
to in-depth theoretical business practices. This helps in the selection
of an area of specialization in Third Year. Third year students
concentrate on their area of specialization: Materials Management,
Human Resource Management or General Business, including a one-month
placement in a selected business or industry of choice.
