Two- and three-Year Diploma
Career Opportunities:
Graduate job titles include accountant, financial analyst, budget
officer, accounts manager, financial planner, and payroll officer.
These positions are at all levels of industry or government and
in small and large enterprises. Training also provides entrepreneurial
students with the skills and confidence to start their own businesses.
Program Description:
This two- or three-year program is designed for graduates to gain
employment in the ever-changing and complex world of business and
finance.
The program is designed as a flow-through model so that students
can go on to the three-year diploma option and work towards the
professional CGA designation.
Approximate Costs (2003 2004):
Tuition: $2,358.00 (two semesters)
Books and Supplies: $1,400.00 – $1,700.00
Consumables Fee: $25.00
Admission Requirements:
(a) Required academic preparation
• OSSD/OSSGD or equivalent with courses at the general, advanced,
(C), (U), (M) or (O) level
or
• mature applicant
Recommended courses:
Grade 12 English and mathematics
Certifying Body:
Certified General Accountants recognize that the majority of Loyalist
courses are acceptable equivalents to their own comparable courses.
